The Rocky Mountains are the longest mountain range in the lower 48 states. They start from British Columbia in Canada and end in New Mexico. This mountain range is over 3000 miles long ( 4800 ) kilometers. The Rockies are contained in Montana, Idaho, Wyoming, Colorado, Utah and New Mexico.
